A welcome-home near Ara Junction

Picture your cousin coming back to Katira after two years of work in Bengaluru, on a train that reaches Ara Junction in the evening. The family wants the house to look festive but has no time to blow up balloons between cooking and cleaning. You book a balloon room design for the 5 PM slot, and by the time someone brings him back from the station, the hall has a balloon wall and he has a backdrop for his first photo at home.

Getting balloons right in Arrah's weather

• Most of Arrah's rain falls between June and September, with August the wettest. Keep the setup indoors or under a covered verandah, not on an open roof.
• In May, a balloon wall facing a hot window can soften or pop. Pick an inner wall and an evening slot.
• If your lane is hard to find, add a landmark like the Sadar Hospital in Nawada or Ramna Maidan when you book.
• Searching for balloon decoration in Ara brings up the same designs. When you book, write the full locality, since Bhojpur also has a village called Nawada outside the town.

What is included
