Anniversary decoration for a room, a wall or a hotel suite

An anniversary surprise usually has one goal: your partner opens the door and the room already looks different. Funtook has 23 anniversary designs, priced from ₹1,699 to ₹4,999. Some fill the ceiling and bed with balloons and rose petals; others build a balloon arch or a 7 ft ring on one wall for photos with the family. Each design lists its full contents, so you know how many balloons, which foils and whether lights or petals are included before you pay.

Three styles of anniversary setup

Romantic room: ceiling balloons, hearts and rose petals

This is the most booked style and the one most couples mean when they say "anniversary room decoration". Balloons are stuck across the ceiling with ribbons hanging down, heart-shaped foils and a Happy Anniversary or I Love You foil go on the wall, and rose petals are laid on the bed. The Love Anniversary Room Decor (₹2,299) is a good example: 30 ceiling balloons, a Happy Anniversary foil, rose petals on the bed and floor balloons. The Romantic Room Decoration (₹2,399) swaps the banner for an I Love You foil and adds 250 grams of petals.

If you want flowers to be the focus, the Surprise Room Anniversary Decor (₹2,299) includes 500 grams of flowers arranged in a heart. For something lighter on balloons, the Simple Anniversary Heart Setup (₹2,199) uses 10 pink heart foils on the ceiling, rose petals and a fairy light behind the banner.

Balloon arch on one wall

An arch works better when the celebration includes family, a cake-cutting or a small party, because it gives everyone one backdrop to stand in front of. Arch designs range from the Anniversary Balloon Arch Decoration (₹1,699, 120 balloons with an age foil) to the Classic Anniversary Arch Decor (₹2,499, 200 balloons with butterfly cards) and the Rose Gold Anniversary Decoration (₹2,499) with three frill curtains behind the arch. The Anniversary Balloon Arch Decor (₹2,999) adds balloon pillars on both sides and a fairy light.

Ring frame with a neon sign

The two largest designs use a 7 x 7 ft ring frame covered in about 200 balloons, with a neon sign in the centre. The Better Together Ring Decor (₹4,500) adds balloon pillars topped with ring foils, and the Delight Anniversary Decoration (₹4,999) adds artificial leaves and 50 balloons for bunches and the floor. The frame and neon sign are provided for the event and collected afterwards. Choose a ring when the photos matter as much as the surprise, for example at a party with relatives.

Anniversary decoration prices

Most couples book in the ₹2,000 to ₹2,999 band, where the room designs include rose petals and more than one heart foil. The Forever Love Decor (₹3,999) is the fullest room design, with 50 ceiling balloons, 12 heart foils on the ceiling, 50 floor balloons and rose petals on the bed.

Planning a surprise that stays a surprise

Choose the slot around your partner's day

Time slots run in one-hour windows from 8 AM to midnight. Pick a slot that starts while your partner is out: at work, at the gym, or on a short errand you have arranged. Leave a margin after the slot ends; if your partner usually gets home at 7 PM, book 4 PM to 5 PM rather than 6 PM to 7 PM. For a late-evening reveal, the last slot of the day is 11 PM to midnight, and it is worth calling us before you book it.

Arrange access

Someone has to let the decorator in. That can be a family member, a flatmate, a neighbour with a key or your building's security desk. The decorator waits up to 30 minutes at the start of the slot. If you are the one opening the door, step out once they are inside so you are not away from your partner for too long.

Hotel room surprises

Many anniversaries are celebrated in a hotel. Check with the hotel first that outside decorators are allowed, then share the booking name, room number and check-in time with us. Tell the front desk that a decorator will arrive in your slot. Some hotels ask for decoration to be done after check-in only, so book a slot after your check-in time.

Keep the materials simple for a small room

In a compact bedroom, a ceiling-and-bed design looks fuller than an arch, because the arch needs a clear wall about 7 feet wide. If there is a wardrobe or window on every wall, stay with a room design.

Milestone anniversaries

1st anniversary. The first year is often celebrated just by the couple, so a romantic room works well. The 1st Anniversary Room Decor (₹2,399) includes a number foil and a heart made with rose petals, and the Anniversary Balloon Arch Decor includes a "ONE" letter foil.

Monthly milestones. Young couples also mark the first month. The 1 Month Anniversary Decoration (₹2,899) comes with a 1 Month foil, ceiling and floor balloons and two balloon pillars with heart foils.

25th and 50th anniversaries. These are usually family events, with children planning the surprise for their parents. Choose an arch or ring rather than a bedroom design, so there is a backdrop for family photos and space for elders to sit. Designs with an age foil, such as the Anniversary Decoration at Home (₹1,799) and the Anniversary Balloon Arch Decoration, can carry the number. Mention 25 or 50 in the booking notes so the right number foils are brought.

A simple timeline for the day

A few days before: choose the design, book the slot and write the names, the anniversary year and any colour preference in the booking notes. If it's a hotel, confirm that the hotel allows outside decorators.

The morning of: make sure the person letting the decorator in knows the slot and has the key. Clear the bed and the wall where the banner will go, and keep a stool ready for the ceiling balloons.

During the slot: the decorator sets up the design as listed. Check the room once it's done and tell us within two hours if anything needs fixing.

The reveal: switch on the fairy lights before your partner walks in, keep your phone ready for the first reaction, and have the cake or gift in the room. Ceiling balloons stay up best in a cool room, so keep the AC or fan on and the curtains drawn in the afternoon.

Colours that work

Red and white is the classic romantic palette and suits most bedrooms. Rose gold with white looks softer and photographs well in warm light. Red metallic balloons, used in the Romantic Love Decoration for Home or Hotel Room (₹2,599), give a glossier finish than matte latex. If your walls are a strong colour, white and gold is the safest choice. Tell us your preference when you book and we'll confirm what can be changed for the design you choose.

Booking, payment and cancellation

Choose a design, select your city, date and time slot, and pay a 30% advance or the full amount online to confirm. We don't offer cash on delivery. Same-day bookings are possible when the slot starts at least two hours after you book. You can cancel within 24 hours of placing the order for a full refund; after that a cancellation fee may apply, and customised items are non-refundable. On the day, keep a stool or ladder handy for the ceiling balloons, keep the decorated room out of direct sunlight, and tell us within two hours of the setup if anything needs attention. Product photos show the finished design; the real setup may differ slightly in colour or arrangement.

Other ways to surprise your partner
