Balloon Decoration

Balloon decoration at home, hotel or office

Balloon decoration is the base of almost everything Funtook does, from a birthday room surprise to a baby shower backdrop. This page brings together 45 balloon designs across occasions, priced from ₹1,499 to ₹19,999, so you can compare them by layout and budget rather than by occasion. Each design lists how many balloons it uses, which foils and banners come with it, and whether it includes lights, a frame or a backdrop.

Below, we explain the main balloon layouts, what each price band gets you, how to pick colours and sizes for your space, and how to look after the balloons once they are up.

The main balloon layouts

Ceiling and floor fill

Balloons are stuck across the ceiling with ribbons hanging down, and more are spread on the floor or bed. This layout decorates a whole room rather than one wall, which is why it's used for surprises in bedrooms and hotel rooms. The Balloon Decoration for Birthday Party (₹1,499) uses 30 ceiling and 30 floor balloons with a Happy Birthday foil; the Anniversary Balloon Decoration (₹2,299) uses 40 on the ceiling and 60 on the floor.

Arch

An arch of 120 to 250 balloons frames one wall, usually around a banner or foil. It's the most versatile layout: the same structure works for birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and welcomes, with only the foils changing. Examples include the Birthday Party Decorations (₹2,299) with 200 balloons and the Balloon Decoration for Anniversary in Room (₹2,199) with balloon pillars at the sides.

Ring

A circular frame, about 7 feet across, covered in balloons. The person being celebrated stands or sits inside it for photos. Rings often carry a neon sign in the centre, as in the Happy Birthday Decoration at Home (₹3,999) and the Birthday Decor Services at Home (₹4,999). The neon sign and frame are rented for the event and collected afterwards.

Backdrop with balloons

A sequin panel, printed flex or cloth backdrop with balloons built around it. This is the layout for milestone events and larger rooms, for example the Surprise Birthday Decoration for Husband (₹6,499) with a 6 x 6 ft golden sequin backdrop, or the Home Decoration for New Baby Born (₹5,999) with a printed backdrop carrying the baby's name.

Full hall setups

The two largest designs decorate a whole party hall: a themed backdrop, cutouts, an entry gate, balloon bunches across the hall and cake table styling. The Car Theme Birthday Decor (₹17,999) and Rainbow Theme Birthday Decoration (₹19,999), which uses 1,200 to 1,500 balloons, are part of our birthday organiser packages.

Choosing colours

Colour does more for a balloon setup than the number of balloons. A few combinations that work reliably:

• Black with gold or silver: sharp and grown-up; suits adult birthdays and rooms with white or grey walls.
• Rose gold, white and blush: soft and elegant; suits anniversaries, first birthdays and baby girls.
• Pastels (mint, lilac, peach, baby blue): gentle and photogenic in daylight; suits baby showers and kids' parties.
• Red and white: the classic romantic palette for anniversaries and proposals.
• Chrome (metallic) balloons: a glossy, mirror-like finish that catches light. Mixing chrome with matte balloons adds depth.

Avoid choosing a colour that matches your wall exactly; the balloons disappear into it. Tell us your preference when you book and we'll confirm what can be changed for the design.

Sizing a setup for your space

• Small bedroom or hotel room: a ceiling and floor fill of 60 to 100 balloons fills the room without crowding it.
• Living room wall: a 150 to 200-balloon arch covers a wall of about 7 to 8 feet.
• Large living room or clubhouse: a 250-balloon arch or a 7 ft ring, plus bunches around the room, keeps the space from looking bare.
• Party hall: a backdrop with an entry gate and hall bunches, as in the organiser packages.

Balloon decoration ideas by room

Bedroom

Ceiling balloons with long ribbons, a foil banner above the headboard and balloons on the bed or floor. Add rose petals for an anniversary, or string photos for a partner's birthday. Keep the path from the door to the bed clear so the reveal isn't a scramble over balloons.

Living room

An arch on the wall opposite the main door, with the name and age in foils, and a few bunches in the corners. Move the sofa slightly forward if the arch needs to go behind it; the arch should frame the people standing in front, not be hidden by furniture.

Hotel room

Hotel rooms are compact and often have a TV or mirror on the main wall. A ceiling and floor fill works better than an arch. Confirm with the hotel that outside decorators are allowed, and book a slot after check-in.

Office or shop

An arch at the entrance or reception, in colours that match the brand, with balloons at the reception desk. Keep walkways and fire exits clear. See office decoration for designs made for workplaces.

Terrace or lawn

Outdoors, sun and wind are the main enemies. Choose a shaded corner, fix the arch against a wall or railing, and plan an evening event if possible. Fairy lights help the setup show up after dark.

Looking after the balloons

• Balloons last best in a cool indoor room, away from direct sunlight and heat. A room that heats up in the afternoon sun will lose balloons.
• Keep ceiling fans on low or off near ceiling balloons; strong airflow knocks them loose.
• Once installed, avoid moving the arch or pillars; repositioning can pop balloons or loosen the structure.
• The adhesives used are chosen to limit marks on surfaces; remove them slowly when you take the decoration down.
• Pick up burst pieces promptly if there are small children or pets around.

Booking

Choose a design, select your city, date and one-hour time slot (8 AM to midnight; same-day slots start at least two hours after you book), and pay a 30% advance or the full amount online. We don't offer cash on delivery. You can cancel within 24 hours of placing the order for a full refund; after that a cancellation fee may apply, and customised items are non-refundable. See the cancellation policy.

On the day, someone should be at the venue at the start of the slot (the decorator waits up to 30 minutes), with a stool or ladder for ceiling work, and a power socket free if the design has lights. Tell us within two hours of completion if something needs attention. Product photos show the finished design; the real setup can vary slightly in colour or arrangement.
