Christmas evening in the Christian Quarter

Imagine a family in the Christian Quarter, the old neighbourhood around Bettiah's Catholic church, expecting cousins and neighbours on Christmas evening. They book a 3 PM slot on the 25th, after the morning service. The decorator fills the front room with balloons in the red, white and gold they chose and adds an arch over the doorway, so that when the visitors come in from the cold, the room already feels like a celebration.

Balloon tips for Bettiah homes and halls

• For a Christmas setup, book the slot for the afternoon of 24 or 25 December, so it is ready before family arrives from church.
• Bettiah's hottest month is May, when daytime highs average close to 39°C. Choose an evening slot and keep balloons out of direct sun.
• Meena Bazar and Station Road get busy with shoppers and traffic. If you live off these roads, mention the nearest lane entry in the address.
• Landmarks such as Teen Lalten Chowk, Hariwatika Chowk with its Gandhi statue, Durgabagh Mandir or Sagar Pokhra help the decorator find you quickly.

What is included

You get the balloons, arch or backdrop and props shown for that design, put up by the decorator at your venue. Food, cake and the venue remain your job unless the design page includes them.
