Twins coming home to Jagadamba Nagar

Say your sister has had twins, a boy and a girl, and they are coming home on Sunday. You book the twins design for an 11 AM slot, and your mother waits at the house in Jagadamba Nagar to let the decorator in. Pink and blue balloons go up around the door and in the room where the babies will sleep, and when the car arrives at two, the nani does the aarti at the decorated doorway.

Welcoming a baby in Bettiah: practical tips

• If the discharge is today, book as soon as you know the time. Same-day slots open two hours after booking.
• In many Bihar homes the chhathi, the sixth-day ceremony, brings relatives over. You can time the setup for that day so everyone sees it.
• January nights drop to about 9°C. Close the windows once the balloons are up and keep the baby's room warm.
• Use a landmark such as Kalibagh, Santghat or Teen Lalten Chowk in the address, and give the number of whoever is at home.

What is included

The balloons, backdrop and props listed for the design, including any name board it shows, set up at your home by the decorator.
