A Sunday surprise in a New Area house

Say your parents are coming back from a day trip to Rajgir and you want the drawing room to look festive when they walk in. You book the 5 PM slot on Sunday and keep a cousin at home to open the door. The decorator puts up a balloon wall behind the sofa and a few clusters near the ceiling, and is gone before the car turns into your lane. Your mother spends the first ten minutes sending photos to the family WhatsApp group.

Planning balloons in Nawada: a few tips

• The market roads around Vijay Bazar get crowded in the evening, so add a landmark such as Prajatantra Chowk or the railway station to your address.
• For a terrace or courtyard setup between April and June, a late-evening slot keeps the balloons out of the afternoon sun.
• If you live in Linepar or Mirzapur, mention a nearby point such as Bus Stand No. 3 so the decorator reaches the right side of the railway line.
• Keep the ceiling fans off from the moment the decorator starts until the party is over.

What is included

You get the balloons and any add-ons listed on the design you pick, put up by the decorator at your address. Cake, snacks and the venue stay with you.
