A morning surprise in New Arwal

Picture your wife's birthday falling on a Sunday. You book the 8 AM slot, the first of the day, and send her to your mother's house in Purani Arwal for an hour. Back home in New Arwal, the decorator fills the dining corner with balloons and hangs a Happy Birthday banner over the table. She returns to puri-sabzi waiting for her and a room she did not expect.

Birthday planning in Arwal: what helps

• Many street lights on Patna Road, from Bhagat Singh Chowk to Ahiyapur, have been out for months. For a late slot, keep your gate light on and share a landmark.
• The road from the Bus Stand through Shahi Mohalla and Mahua Bagh to Baidrabad has been badly broken. Mention if a car cannot reach your gate.
• If friends are coming from Jehanabad, Kurtha or Kaler, set the cake time after they arrive, not at the start of the slot.
• Booking a hall? Confirm when the room is free and whether tape is allowed on its walls.

What is included

Each design page lists what you get, such as balloons, foil letters or a banner, along with the setup by the decorator. The cake, snacks and candles come from you.
