Coming home from Sadar Hospital

Say your daughter-in-law has given birth to a girl at Sadar Hospital, and the family lives in Kuti Tola. The doctor says she can go home after lunch the next day. You book the Simple Baby Girl Welcome Decoration for a noon slot, and the grandmother opens the door for the decorator. By the time the car pulls up, the bedroom is decorated for her and the neighbours are already waiting with sweets.

Supaul tips for a newborn's first day home

• Discharge times often slip. Book once the doctor gives a likely day, and pick a slot with some margin.
• Share a landmark like Mahavir Chowk or Gandhi Maidan with the decorator so no time is lost finding the house.
• Ask for the balloons to go high and away from the cot, and clear any burst pieces at once.
• For the annaprashan, choose one of the annaprashan designs and leave floor space for the puja and the plate of rice.

What is included

The balloons, banner and props from the design you choose, put up by the decorator. Sweets, gifts and puja items are the family's part.
