Twenty-five years, celebrated at home in Purabsarai

Imagine your parents' silver anniversary. They spend the morning at Chandika Sthan, as they do on most special days, while you and your brother stay back at the house near Purabsarai. The decorator arrives at 1 PM and builds a red and gold ring backdrop in the drawing room, with "25" in foil balloons at the centre. When they walk in, the relatives are standing under it, and the photos are ready to be taken.

Anniversary planning tips for Munger couples

• For a milestone like the 25th or 50th, with relatives coming from Jamalpur or across the river, a backdrop in the main room gives everyone one place to stand for photos.
• Planning a sunset walk at Kashtaharni Ghat first? Book the slot for that time, so the room is ready when you get back.
• Winter is wedding season, and many anniversaries fall in the same months. Book a few days ahead for weekend evenings.
• If you share the house with in-laws, tell one elder about the plan so the decorator is not stopped at the gate.

What is included

Every design lists its own balloons, lights, backdrop or ring frame, and the decorator brings and fixes all of it. Flowers, cake and dinner are not part of the price unless the design says so.
