A homecoming near Lal Darwaza

Picture the day your daughter is discharged with her baby girl. Her mother-in-law has the aarti thali ready at the house in Basudevpur, near Lal Darwaza. You book a morning slot, and the decorator fixes pink and white balloons around the door with a "Welcome Home" banner. When the car turns into the lane, the neighbours are already at the gate, and nobody had to stand on a ladder.

Welcoming a baby home in Munger

• Discharge times can shift. Book a slot for the morning of discharge and keep the decorator's call in mind if the doctor's round runs late.
• Keep the balloons away from the baby's cot and at the door or in the living room, where the family gathers.
• Planning the chhathi, the sixth-day ceremony, with relatives at home? The same welcome setup can stay up for it if the room is kept cool.
• If the baby's nani lives across the river, send her a photo of the decorated door. It is often the first family picture.

What is included

The balloons, banner and props shown on the chosen design, and setup at your door or room by the decorator. Sweets and puja items are yours to arrange.
