Ranchi is a city that people pass through at important moments. Students arrive from all over Jharkhand and Bihar to study medicine in Bariatu, engineering in Mesra or management on the IIM campus, and to crack exams at the coaching centres of Lalpur. Families come to the city's hospitals for a birth or a treatment. Young professionals move here for jobs in government and industry, while their own parents stay behind in Hazaribagh, Daltonganj or Dumka. With so many people away from the ones they love, a bright balloon bouquet arriving at the right door is a small, joyful way to say "I'm thinking of you".
A Funtook balloon bouquet in Ranchi is ready the moment it arrives: printed foil balloons carrying the message, colour-matched latex balloons filled with helium around them, curled ribbons and a weight at the base, plus a card with your words. You choose one of five designs, a delivery date and a time slot, and we take it to the address you enter. Prices run from ₹1,499 to ₹3,299.
For a newborn and the new parents, the blue It's a Boy Balloon Bouquet or pink It's a Girl Balloon Bouquet, ₹1,499 each, make the news clear from across the room.
For a child or a young friend, the colourful Birthday Surprise Balloon Bouquet at ₹1,699 is fun and bright.
For a student who has cleared an exam, a colleague with a promotion or a parent retiring, the gold-and-white Golden Surprise Balloon Bouquet at ₹1,799 feels celebratory without being childish.
For the big occasions, a parent's sixtieth, grandparents' fiftieth anniversary or a long-awaited homecoming, the Celebration Balloon Bouquet at ₹3,299 is our largest and most generous arrangement.
Prices are from our live catalogue in September 2026.
Many of the bouquets we deliver in Ranchi are for students, sent by parents back home or by friends in the city. Hostels at medical and engineering colleges, university campuses and many private hostels and PGs don't let delivery staff past the gate. The simplest approach is to add the student's own phone number and ask them to collect the bouquet at the entrance, or to send it to a friend's flat or a relative's home nearby. For coaching students in Lalpur and around Circular Road who live in shared rooms, a mid-afternoon or early-evening slot, after classes, is the best bet. A result-day bouquet from home, with a message like "We always knew you could. Proud of you, beta", means a great deal to a student far from family.
For children working in Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Hyderabad or abroad, a bouquet is a way to show up on a parent's birthday or anniversary from far away. Enter your parents' address and phone number, add your own number in the order notes, and mention that it's a surprise. Our slots are in Indian time, so check the difference if you're overseas. If your parents are elderly and might not open the door to someone unexpected, ask a neighbour or a relative in Ranchi to be around. Then set up a video call for when the bouquet arrives; seeing their faces makes it worth every rupee. Many children make it a yearly habit, a bouquet on every birthday and anniversary.
Ranchi's hospitals welcome a great many babies, many of them born to families from outside the city. Hospitals generally don't allow balloons in wards or rooms, both for hygiene and because latex can affect some patients, so the best time to send a bouquet is the day the mother and baby return home, or to the house where the family is staying in Ranchi. Choose a daytime slot, when the doorbell is less likely to wake the baby, and pick a mostly-foil bouquet if there are toddlers or pets in the house, since foil doesn't scatter small pieces when it bursts. The same thinking applies to anyone recovering from an illness: wait until they're home, and send it there.
Ranchi has grown in every direction, and a good address makes delivery quick. In busy Lalpur, Kokar, Circular Road and Main Road, add a nearby shop or landmark. For the family colonies of Harmu, Argora and Ashok Nagar, the house number with the road name and a landmark works well. Around Morabadi and Bariatu, include the building or lane name. In Doranda, Hinoo and Dhurwa, quarter numbers and sectors are usually clear. The new societies along Ratu Road, Kanke Road, Pundag, Tupudana and Namkum have gates and guards, so include the society name, tower and flat number. Offices in government buildings and company premises usually receive deliveries at reception; add the recipient's name, department and phone number so the front desk can reach them quickly.
The foil balloons in a bouquet hold their shape and float for several days indoors, often more than a week in a cool room. Latex helium balloons are at their best for about a day, then gradually sink. Ranchi's plateau climate is kinder to balloons than the plains: winter from November to February is ideal, with cool, dry air that keeps a bouquet looking fresh. From April to early June, keep it away from sunny windows and hot rooms. In the monsoon, humidity is fine indoors, but keep the bouquet away from open windows during storms.
Add your message in the order notes, in English, or in Hindi typed in English letters. A few that people in Ranchi often send: "Doctor saab ban gaye! Congratulations, from all of us at home." "Welcome to the world, little one. Your nani can't wait to meet you." "Happy birthday, Papa. Miss you and Maa's cooking." "Thirty years together and still arguing about the TV remote. Happy anniversary!" "Selection ho gaya! We're so proud." Keep it short enough for a card, and sign it clearly so the family knows exactly who sent it.
Looking across a year, a few seasons stand out. Spring brings board results, and later the medical and engineering entrance results, when golden bouquets go out to students all over the city. Summer is admission and placement season at the colleges, when students celebrate offers with friends. The monsoon months are quieter, but birthdays and new babies never stop. Durga Puja in October fills Ranchi with visitors, and many families send a welcome bouquet to relatives arriving for the festival. November and December are the busiest months of all: weddings, winter birthdays, and a Christmas season that lights up Purulia Road and the churches across the city, when red-and-gold bouquets are especially popular. New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day close out the calendar with a rush of orders from couples.
Christmas is a big celebration in Ranchi, and a bouquet is a cheerful gift for friends, neighbours or relatives who celebrate it. The Celebration bouquet feels generous for a family, while the Golden Surprise looks festive alongside a Christmas tree. Add a message such as "Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year from all of us". Deliveries around 24 and 25 December and 31 December fill up fast, so order early, and choose a daytime slot, since many families are at midnight Mass or out visiting in the evening.
Ranchi is the city where much of Jharkhand's family life intersects. A daughter in Bokaro wants to send balloons to her parents in Harmu; a grandfather in Hazaribagh wants to congratulate a grandson finishing his medical course in Bariatu; a sister in Jamshedpur wants a surprise at her brother's new flat on Ratu Road. You can order from anywhere: just enter the Ranchi address and the recipient's number, and add your own number in the notes. If the recipient doesn't know a delivery is coming, write "surprise, please call me first" so the delivery person contacts you if anything is unclear.
Our bouquets are balloons only. Many people pair them with a cake from a well-known bakery on Main Road or in Lalpur, a box of sweets, or flowers from a local florist, and time them to arrive together. If you're ordering the extras separately, ask each shop for the same delivery hour so the surprise lands at once. For someone at home who deserves more than a bouquet, a decorated room costs only a little more and makes a far bigger impression.
A few simple habits keep a bouquet looking good for longer. Stand it in a corner of a cool room, away from ceiling fans, which push balloons into walls and tangle the ribbons. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heaters in winter; Ranchi homes often run a room heater in December and January, and warm air near latex makes it soften quickly. Keep the weight on the floor or a low table, and if there are small children or pets, tie it to a chair leg so it can't be pulled over. When the latex balloons start to droop after a day or so, snip them off and keep the foils; the printed ones will often stay up for a week or more.
Flowers are lovely, but a balloon bouquet has a few advantages. It stands out from across a room, which makes it a natural centrepiece for a small celebration. Children adore it, so it's perfect for a birthday or a new sibling. The foil balloons carry a clear message, "It's a Girl", "Happy Birthday", "Congratulations", so there's no mistaking the occasion. And the printed foils can be deflated and kept as a memento long after flowers would have wilted. Many people send both, of course: flowers for the grown-ups, balloons for the photographs.
Deliver when the person, or someone keeping the secret, will definitely be at the address. For a midnight birthday, have it delivered in the evening to a family member who'll hide it until twelve. For offices, mid-afternoon is calmer than the first hour or lunchtime. For students, after classes. Around Christmas, New Year, Valentine's Day and results season, order two or three days ahead, as slots fill quickly. And if the recipient works shifts, at a hospital, a plant or a call centre, check their hours first so the bouquet doesn't arrive while they're asleep or away.
A bouquet is a gift that travels to someone else. If you're hosting the celebration yourself, a decoration usually does more for a similar budget; our room surprise designs start at ₹1,299. For a new baby at home, see newborn welcome decoration in Ranchi; for a party, birthday decoration in Ranchi; for couples, anniversary decoration in Ranchi; and for a surprise in the car, car boot decoration in Ranchi.
You'll get a confirmation with the date and slot. The bouquet is assembled and filled on the day of delivery, so it arrives fresh. If the address is tricky or a guard needs approval, the delivery person calls the number you gave. We don't leave balloons outside a locked door; if nobody can receive the bouquet, we call you to decide the next step, such as leaving it with a neighbour or a relative nearby.
