As the capital of Jharkhand, Ranchi's working life revolves around government departments, public-sector companies, banks, hospitals, colleges and a thriving coaching industry. Its workplace celebrations reflect that. A section officer retires from the Secretariat after thirty-four years. A coal company's regional office marks a production milestone. A coaching institute in Lalpur felicitates its toppers. A clinic opens in Bariatu, a showroom on Main Road, a café on Kanke Road. Each needs a setting that is festive without being frivolous, and that balance is what our office and corporate decoration in Ranchi aims for.
Workplace designs start at ₹1,699 and the most elaborate is ₹7,499; for smaller team moments, offices often borrow from our balloon and birthday ranges instead. Because every design page states exactly what's included and what it costs, forwarding the link to a section head or branch manager is usually all the paperwork needed.
Retirement is a major event in a city with so many government and PSU employees. Superannuation typically falls on the last day of the month, and colleagues gather in the section or a conference room to honour the retiree with a garland, a gift and a round of tributes. For a modest office send-off, choose Simple Retirement Decoration at ₹1,699. When the department wants something grander, or the family plans a function at home the same evening, Goodbye Retirement Decor at ₹2,999 gives a full backdrop.
Ranchi hosts the state's main Republic Day parade at Morabadi Maidan, and offices, banks, schools and housing societies across the city hold their own flag-hoisting ceremonies. Jharkhand's Foundation Day on 15 November, which is also Birsa Munda's birth anniversary, is celebrated in many workplaces and institutions. For these, our tricolour Republic Day Decoration Office, priced at ₹2,499, frames the flagpole or the stage for the cultural programme.
New showrooms, clinics, restaurants, coaching centres and offices open with a puja, a ribbon-cutting and plenty of photographs. Our Office Opening Balloon Decoration (₹7,499) dresses the doorway and adds a photo wall for the ribbon-cutting. Tell us the auspicious time for the puja, and the work will be complete well ahead of it.
Lalpur and the surrounding streets are one of eastern India's busiest coaching hubs, and results season brings felicitation events for toppers. A balloon backdrop with the institute's name and the year, and an arch at the hall entrance, gives the photos the look they deserve. Pick a design from balloon decoration in Ranchi and tell us the text to print.
For a colleague's birthday or a promotion, a compact setup from birthday decoration in Ranchi, such as one of the room surprise designs in a cabin, keeps it cheerful and quick.

Much of Ranchi's office life happens in government buildings in Doranda, Dhurwa and around the Secretariat, and in the offices of public-sector companies across the city. These premises have their own rules. Entry usually needs prior permission, so the organiser should inform security or the administrative section of the decorator's name and arrival time, sometimes with an ID. Common corridors and conference halls may have restrictions on tape and nails; free-standing stands solve this. Many offices prefer decorations that are festive but restrained, so ivory, gold and a touch of the department's colours usually suit better than bright party colours. Finish the setup well before senior officers arrive for the programme, and keep the area in front of the dais clear for the chief guest, the lamp-lighting and the garlanding that usually open official functions.
For a street-facing opening on Main Road, Lalpur, Kanke Road, Harmu Road or Ratu Road, a few practical things help. Let us know the nearest spot where a vehicle can pause to unload; Main Road and Lalpur at rush hour don't forgive double-parking. Raise the shutter early, because the doorway arch has to be built outside. And send us your logo colours, so the arch sets off your signboard instead of fighting it. For a clinic or hospital opening, keep balloons away from patient areas and follow any infection-control rules. In summer, morning openings keep balloons fresh for the photographs.
Start with the section or department to fix a time; afternoons after lunch are most common. Pick a room with one clear wall and space for a table holding the shawl, bouquet, memento and sweets. Ask colleagues how the retiree prefers to be named on a printed board, with a title, a designation, or just the name everyone uses. Arrange the decorator's entry and choose a slot ending before two o'clock. Put a comfortable chair in front of the backdrop, because every group photo will have the retiree seated at the centre. And ask the family whether they're hosting relatives at home that evening; if so, a second, fuller setup there often means more to them than the office one.
Republic Day in January and Independence Day in August are the busiest mornings of the year for office decoration. Sarhul in spring, a state holiday, sees cultural celebrations in many institutions. March, at the close of the financial year, brings a cluster of retirements and farewells. Results season in spring and summer keeps coaching institutes busy. The festive season, from Durga Puja through Diwali and Chhath, is when shops time their openings and offices hold their parties. Jharkhand Foundation Day on 15 November is marked by many government offices, schools and colleges. December closes the year with Christmas, which is widely celebrated in Ranchi, and New Year parties. Book early for any of these dates, especially national days, when every office wants the same morning.
Ranchi is the medical capital of Jharkhand, and its hospitals, clinics and medical colleges have their own calendar of celebrations: Doctors' Day on 1 July, Nurses' Day in May, hospital foundation days, the opening of a new wing or department, and farewells for senior doctors and staff. These events need a clean, calm look rather than party colours, and above all they must respect patient areas. Keep decorations to conference halls, auditoriums, reception lobbies or staff areas, away from wards and intensive-care units. White, blue and silver, or the hospital's own colours, look professional. Tell the facility's administration when the decorator will arrive, and follow any infection-control guidance they give.
The city's schools and colleges celebrate annual days, Teachers' Day on 5 September, Children's Day, farewells for the senior batch and convocations. A balloon backdrop with the institution's name and the occasion makes a strong focal point on stage, and an arch at the auditorium entrance welcomes parents and guests. For school events, finish the setup before students assemble in the morning and let the school's security know the decorator's name. For college fests and farewells, check with the organising committee about stage timings, so the decoration goes up before the sound and lighting crew arrive.
Sarhul, the spring festival of Jharkhand's Adivasi communities, is a state holiday and a proud moment in Ranchi, with processions, drums and sal blossoms everywhere. Many institutions and offices hold cultural programmes around it. If you'd like decoration for a Sarhul programme, a restrained backdrop in white, red and fresh green, echoing the traditional dress and the sal flowers, sits respectfully alongside the festival's own decorations. Keep space in front for performers, and follow the guidance of the community members leading the programme.
Bank branches across the city, from Main Road and Kutchery to Doranda and Harmu, mark branch openings, anniversaries, customer meets and national days. Branch halls are working spaces, so keep decorations clear of counters, queues and ATMs, and set up before the branch opens or after customer hours. A compact backdrop near the manager's cabin or a balloon arch at the entrance is usually enough, in the bank's own colours where possible.
Christmas is widely celebrated in Ranchi, and many offices, schools and hospitals hold a small party in the last week of December. Red, green and gold balloons around a tree, or a festive arch at reception, set the tone. New Year's celebrations follow a week later, when silver, gold and black with a "Happy New Year" foil look smart. Both weeks are busy, so book early.
Workplaces in Ranchi range from compact section offices in old government buildings to large conference halls and auditoriums, and the design should suit the room. A cabin or small office needs nothing more than a simple farewell setup and a clear desk for the memento. A conference room looks best with a compact backdrop on the wall facing the door, flanked by balloon columns. An auditorium or college stage needs a wide backdrop and an entrance arch to feel festive. A shop front needs a doorway arch that frames the signboard. If you're unsure, send us a photo of the space when you call, and we'll suggest a design that fits without crowding the room.
Not every workplace celebration is formal. Traders in Upper Bazar, garment shops on Main Road, sweet shops in Harmu and small offices in Lalpur celebrate a shop's anniversary, the Diwali muhurat puja when the new account books are opened, Akshaya Tritiya for jewellers, or simply a record month. For these, a balloon arch at the shop entrance or a festive backdrop behind the counter is usually all that's needed. Book an early-morning slot so the shop is ready before customers arrive, keep the doorway clear for business, and tell us the occasion so we can suggest colours that suit it.
In government and PSU offices, a small expense like decoration often still needs a note on file. Keep it simple: attach the design link (it shows the price and inclusions), state the date and venue, and mention that booking requires a 30% advance or full online payment, with a full refund available if cancelled within 24 hours of booking. If the accounts section needs a specific bill format, call us first so we can confirm what's possible.
Have one person on site who knows the plan and whose number is in the order notes. Make sure security has the decorator's name. Clear the wall and move tables the evening before if possible, and point out a socket if the design includes lights. Most office setups are complete within an hour or two; opening displays take longer. If the event is on a Monday morning, avoid a Saturday setup, since latex helium balloons are at their best for about a day.
By the next morning, the office should be back to normal. Ask a peon or housekeeping to remove balloons at the close of the day, keeping them clear of computers, electrical boards and sprinklers overnight. The retiree usually takes the printed board home; the rest of the latex can be burst and sent out with dry waste.
When a colleague has a baby, a balloon bouquet in Ranchi sent to their home is a warm team gesture. If someone on the team is getting married, point them to haldi and mehndi decoration in Ranchi. For a big family birthday, compare the birthday organiser packages in Ranchi. Everything we offer in the city is on the Funtook Ranchi page.
Photographs from past events are on our recent work page, and our story is on About Funtook. Reach the team on +91 95086 38307 or through the contact page; refund rules are explained in the cancellation policy.
