A birthday on a working day

Say your husband works at the electric locomotive factory and his birthday falls on a weekday. He is due home at about 7 in the evening. You book the Birthday Home Decor for a 5 PM slot at your flat in Shastri Nagar, and your teenage son keeps watch for the decorator. When the bike stops outside, the living room is ready, the lights are off and the children are hiding behind the sofa.

Madhepura birthday tips

• Use a landmark people know, like Karpuri Chowk, College Chowk or Purnia Gola Chowk, when you type in the address.
• If you are a student in a rented room near the university in Laloo Nagar, check with the landlord before anything goes on the walls.
• The Mahashivratri fair at Singheshwar is a state fair and draws big crowds. If family is visiting for the mela, plan the cake around their return.
• For a cake at midnight, the 11 PM slot is the last of the day.

What is included
