Twins come home to Vidyapuri

Say your sister has had twins at Jannayak Karpuri Thakur Medical College and Hospital, and the family lives in Vidyapuri. The discharge is set for the afternoon. You book the Twins Baby Welcome Decoration for a 1 PM slot, and your grandmother sits by the door waiting for the decorator. When the two babies are carried in, the room is decorated for both of them, and the elders are already arguing about whom each one looks like.

Madhepura tips for bringing the baby home

• Discharge times move. Book once the doctor names a likely day; a cancellation within 24 hours of booking is refunded, so you can rebook if needed.
• If you live in Laxmipur or Karpuri Nagar, where rain can leave water standing, check the lane before the car brings mother and baby back.
• Ask for the balloons to be placed high and well away from the cot, and pick up any burst bits.
• For the annaprashan, keep floor space for the puja and for the elders who will feed the first grains.

What is included

The balloons, banner and props listed for the design, with the decorator's setup. Sweets, return gifts and puja things stay with the family.
