Haldi & Mehndi Decoration in Darbhanga starts at ₹9,999 for a home haldi setup. Maithil weddings keep many rites at home, and the bride's house usually has its kohbar ghar, a room painted with Mithila art where the couple enters after the wedding. Our haldi setups sit in the courtyard, terrace or hall, and leave that room as it is.

Three days before a wedding in Lalbagh

Picture the bride's family home in Lalbagh three days before the wedding. Upstairs, the kohbar painting is finished and nobody is allowed to touch it. Downstairs, the aunts want a bright corner in the angan for the haldi, with space for the women singing around the bride. The family books the Haldi Setup Home design for a morning slot, and by ten the stool is placed and the photos can begin.

Haldi & Mehndi Decoration in Darbhanga: tips for the family

  • Tell the decorator which rooms are off limits, especially the kohbar ghar. Tape and nails should never go near the painting.
  • Turmeric stains floors and walls. Set the haldi corner where a sheet can go down, such as the angan or terrace.
  • Looking for haldi decoration ideas? Open each design page, see the photos, and choose one that fits your space. That works better than a haldi stage decoration idea copied from a big city wedding hall.
  • If the wedding is at Shyama Mai temple, where weddings are also held, keep the haldi at home the day before and book a morning slot.

What is included

Each haldi or mehndi design page lists what is set up, and the decorator brings exactly that. The haldi paste, puja items, food and any tent or shamiana stay with the family.
