Working With Tech Park Security and Facilities

Most corporate bookings in Hyderabad are inside managed campuses in HITEC City, Madhapur, Gachibowli, the Financial District, Nanakramguda, Pocharam and Uppal, and in office buildings along the Begumpet and Somajiguda stretch. These places have rules, and sorting them out before the day is what makes a setup smooth:

• Visitor registration. The admin or facilities team usually has to register the decorator in advance, sometimes with an ID and vehicle number. Ask them to do it a day before.
• Material entry. Some campuses route all materials through a goods entrance or a service lift. Tell us which gate to use.
• Helium and fire rules. A few buildings restrict helium balloons near sprinklers and smoke detectors, or on floors with false ceilings. Check with facilities; we can do air-filled designs on stands instead.
• Walls and glass. Many offices don't allow tape on painted walls or glass partitions. Free-standing frames solve this; mention it when booking.
• Timing. For a surprise, book the first slot of the day so it's done before people badge in. For an event, finish the setup at least an hour before it starts.
• Weekend access. Setting up on a Saturday for a Monday event is rarely a good idea; latex helium balloons are at their best for about a day. Set up on the morning of the event instead.

Not every business in Hyderabad sits in a tech park. Restaurants and cafes on Road No. 36 and Road No. 45 in Jubilee Hills, shops on Kukatpally's main road, showrooms in Ameerpet and Dilsukhnagar, clinics in Kondapur and Secunderabad, and coaching centres in Ameerpet all open with a small celebration. Bathukamma at the Office: Getting It Right

Bathukamma, the floral festival of Telangana, has become one of the most joyful office events in the city. Colleagues arrive in sarees and half-sarees, a conical flower arrangement is placed at the centre, and the group sings and dances around it in a circle. The decoration has two jobs: to frame the Bathukamma for photos without competing with it, and to leave enough open floor for the circle. Place the backdrop on a wall at one side, not behind the arrangement in the middle. Choose marigold, pink and green, which echo the flowers traditionally used, such as tangedu and gunugu.
