Anniversary Decoration in Madhubani

Anniversary Decoration in Madhubani starts at ₹1,699, with room surprises and arch backdrops at fixed prices. This is the district of the Saurath Sabha, the old gathering near town where Maithil Brahmin families negotiated marriages, and an anniversary here can be as much a family occasion as a couple's.

Fifty years, and the story told again

Say your grandparents' marriage was settled at the Saurath Sabha fifty years ago, and they still live in the family house in Mangrauni. The grandchildren book a ring backdrop for the 5 PM slot and keep the couple busy at an aunt's place nearby. When they return, the front room has an arch with '50' in gold balloons. Your grandmother sits down in front of it and tells the story of the Sabha again, this time for the phone camera.

Anniversary planning in Madhubani

• For grandparents, ask for the setup on the ground floor and keep chairs clear in front of the backdrop so they can sit for photos.
• Relatives from Darbhanga or Jaynagar can come by train, as the line between them runs through Madhubani. Fix the slot around their arrival.
• If you have booked a hotel room in town for the night, ask the hotel first whether outside decorators may set up in it.
• A couple's surprise needs only a room setup. A gathering of the whole khandaan needs an arch or ring backdrop with space around it.

What is included

The balloons, arch or ring and any props listed for that design, put up by the decorator. Flowers, dinner and the cake are arranged by the family.
