The drive home from Darbhanga

Say the baby is born at a hospital in Darbhanga, and the family drives the 26 km home to Tirhut Colony the next afternoon. Your sister-in-law books a baby girl design for the 1 PM slot from the hospital waiting room. By the time the car turns into the lane, there is a pink-and-white balloon arch at the door. The grandmother is waiting with the aarti thali, and nobody remembers the long drive.
